The Evolution V-Twin engine is air-cooled, and the powertrain with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) of the Sportster 883 offers 74.57 Nm of torque at @ 3500 rpm. The sportster would be a 5-speed bike. There are no power output figures available at this time.Fuel efficiency would be approx 25 kilometers to a liter on the highway, and around 17-18 kmpl in the city.

Harley Davidson is hoping that the new Sportster 883 can buck the trend and bring in some new customers.
